Welcome to: So, I Was Thinking…

The stories, reflections and observations found in this blog were written by me for me. I find that conveying my musings through a story will often help me make sense of what goes on in the world and find humor in situations, whether intended or not.

I have decided to share what has been written with friends that might be interested… or perhaps simply have nothing better to do at the moment. Hopefully some of the stories are humorous, and others are thoughtful. And of course, it would be great if some are both funny and reflective. If you decide to continue to check in periodically you will learn more about the world in which my mind lives.

Also, please don’t expect my musings to be chronological. If it comes to my head, either as a part of my history or a part of my life today, I will try to write it down and hope to make sense of it.

I guess the person to blame for this blog is my dear friend Ben, who lives in Seattle. A couple of years ago, he responded to one of my holiday letters with the suggestion that I should write about my experiences of being a Northerner in the South. Some of the stories take that task on and Ben will tell me if I have been successful. However, many more of my writings are simply reflections on life and our humanity.
